The shooting happened about 5:45 p.m. at Pumpkin’s Place, 1426 S. 5th Ave., according to Maywood Police Officer Persia Allen. When officers arrived at the scene they found three men bleeding outside the restaurant, Allen said.
Allen said each man suffered a single gunshot wound; one was shot in the stomach, the second was hit in the right arm while the third person was shot in the right thigh.
All three were taken to Loyola University Medical Center in “stable” condition, Allen said.
The shooter, who was wearing a ski mask, opened the restaurant’s door and “just started shooting,” Allen said.
A further description or motive was not immediately available. No one is in custody Friday night as Maywood police investigate.
