LUCERNE VALLEY — Five weeks after Krystie Stuart, 29, disappeared following a dentist appointment in Apple Valley, her family and other concerned locals have taken matters into their own hands.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials have deemed Stuart a voluntary missing person. Five days after Stuart’s disappearance on March 3, deputies found her car in rural north Apple Valley. The car was towed and searched for evidence, but Stuart’s mother, Ginger Stuart, said no evidence of foul play was found. She said that fingerprints from the vehicle were not taken until weeks after the car was recovered and no items inside were kept for evidence. She said that her daughter’s case has been treated as a voluntary missing person “since day one.”
