Amy Schumer Doesn’t Steal Jokes from Other Comics, Because She Doesn’t Need To.

Amy Schumer arrives at the The 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., on Jan. 17, 2016.

Amy’s had a bit of a rough PR week just the past few days. She had to set a young Jackson Murphy straight when he tried to tweet a really NOT funny bit [ now deleted by Murphy after his live-tweeted come-uppance tweeted by Schumer ] about how he had slept with the comic, when he hadn’t. He also inferred that many other men had recently slept with Amy, in a sleazy, one-night-stand kind of way – and that’s when she had enough of it, and took to Twitter to straighten him out. Odds are this guy will never get to even stand in the near vicinity of any celebrity ever again, based on how he behaved after a brief social encounter with Amy. Don’t get out much do ya, Jackson? Duh.

“In case you missed it, 17-year-old Jackson Murphy, who runs the website Lights-Camera-Jackson, tweeted a photo of himself with Amy Schumer and joked: “Spent the night with @amyschumer. Certainly not the first guy to write that.” She responded: ‘I get it. Cause I’m a whore? Glad I took a photo with you. Hi to your dad.’ He then deleted the tweet and apologized, saying it was a failed effort to be funny. She forgave him.

The online reaction was mixed. Some praised her for calling out sexism. Others slammed her as a hypocrite. But we should all understand why Schumer responded as she did, and why so many people supported her.

As a star who speaks openly about her sex life, Schumer is bombarded daily by society’s double standard. A man who is openly sexual and has lots of sex with different partners is considered a playboy, an idol, a guy just doing what many guys do or want to do. A woman who does the same is criticized as troubled, lacking self-worth, or “slutty.” (When’s the last time anyone called a guy “slutty?”)”

Next Amy had to clear the air and answer serious allegations from three other female comedians that she sometimes steals jokes from other comics. Schumer is still responding, days later. She has even stated that she would take a lie detector test to prove she has NEVER stolen jokes from other comics.

My thoughts?  This woman’s everyday normal spoken out loud ‘stream of consciousness’ about her own life, spontaneously narrated on stage,  is so gut bustingly naturally funny that no one, anywhere, at any time, either now, or possibly ever in the future – will ever be able to compete with her as a comedian. To say that Amy is a natural at comedy would be the understatement of the year. I see no situation – ever – where she would need to stoop so low that she would steal a joke from another comic. What I do see – is that she has many very jealous enemies in the comedy community, who love to have the success that she has.

Not to MENTION that in the past two years she has written a hit TV show, received a Peabody Award for it, and written and starred in a hit movie [ See the trailer for Trainwreck movie trailer 2015 Amy Schumer if you have been living under a rock since last year ].

There is no more potent fuel for all-out jealousy than PURE TALENT. Keep on doing what you do Amy Schumer. If they are hating on you, it’s because they can’t do what you do – and they will never be able to. All the haters can do is sit on Twitter and throw eggs, poor sad little souls. Rock on, woman.

Shall I go on? WHO CARES what the teeny little haters and pop culture liars on Twitter have to say about Amy Schumer? OMG.

US Navy Men and Other Military Sound Off About Being Deployed to Syria: “Hell NO! I Did Not Sign Up to Fight For Al-Qaeda”

‘Treason’ Or ‘Free Speech?’ – Are These Anti-Syria Strike Pictures From U.S. Military Members Okay? (Blaze Poll)

Sep. 2, 2013 11:46am

Since the U.S. has started serious discussions about taking military action against Syria, many have publicly spoken out against a possible military strike. And now it appears that some of our uniformed service personnel have come forward to express their disagreement with an attack, any attack on Syria.

More than 2,000 people have “liked” this image that was posted on Sunday.

Photo posted by member of the US Army

There were also photos posted from people wearing the uniforms of the Marines, Navy and Air Force. These have also received Facebook “likes” in the thousands.

Is this kind of behavior allowed? Well, there are rules concerning what uniformed military personnel can and cannot do, especially when it comes to making a political statement. In reviewing the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), Article 88 could come into play here. That section states:

Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Transportation, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.

We see that commissioned officers could be called to question if they posted a photo like those seen above. What about enlisted or non-commissioned personnel? The UCMJ has rules for these folks as well. According to Article 92, failure to obey an order could result in being court-martialed.

Any person subject to this chapter who–

(1) violates or fails to obey any lawful general order or regulation;

(2) having knowledge of any other lawful order issued by any member of the armed forces, which it is his duty to obey, fails to obey the order; or

(3) is derelict in the performance of his duties;

shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.

Where do you stand on this issue? Should members of the military be allowed to publicly post their disagreement with a possible strike on Syria while they are in uniform? Take part in our Blaze Poll and feel free to comment below.

Press Conference: Huntsville Alabama – Von Braun III Missile Defense Agency Building Evacuated

Noon April 30th 2013 Update

Click here to watch the press conference that was just recorded about the incident at Redstone Arsenal.

Updated story on WAFF news site is here.

WAFF-TV in Alabama is covering the story, and it appears as the lead story on their website.

Updated: Suspicious substance prompts evacuation at Redstone Arsenal building

Four days ago a similar incident took place in the same region when a UPS building was evacuated after a suspicious package was found.

Here’s some background information on the base where the latest incident took place earlier this morning – see below:,P4_CONTENT_TITLE,P4_CONTENT_EKMT_ID,P4_CONTENT_DIRECTORY,P4_TAB:160,Installation%20Overview,,,

Earlier on 04.30.2013 I reported:

Breaking report re-posted verbatim below as the story is breaking and changes quickly. The first version of this story was just removed and this new version was posted. The first version mentioned a white powdery substance which was found in the building. The second version of the story omitted any mention of the substance. I am still looking for more information at this time.

Our US Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville Alabama is the operating “nerve center” for US national security decisions which involve any sort of missile defense. It was from this locale that the decision to deploy a missile defense system on Guam was rendered in early April in response to North Korean provocations.  The evacuation of the Redstone building can only cause me to speculate [ and I know with so little information to work from I could be wrong ] whether or not a North Korean affiliated person or persons has made an attempt to harm the people working in that building as retaliation for our placing a missile defense system on Guam to deter a North Korean first strike attack.

Cited from an article on April 3rd:

“The Pentagon said today that it will deploy a THAAD missile system to Guam as a “precautionary move to strengthen the regional defense posture against the North Korean regional ballistic missile threat.”

THAAD, which stands for Terminal High Altitude Area Defense System, is a product of Lockheed Martin, which has a sprawling Huntsville campus off Bradford Drive among its worldwide locations. As recently as last year, Lockheed Martin had about 190 employees in Huntsville working on the THAAD program.”

Which begs the next question:  Just how many North Korean spies are lurking in the shadows of the United States and what are their operating directives?

I am just a blogger who reads alot of news reports and asks alot of questions. That’s all.

Building evacuated on Redstone Arsenal

Cited:  “HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) – According to officials, a building on Redstone Arsenal was evacuated Tuesday morning.  As of 11:30, employees were still out of Von Braun III.  Officials are investigating, but wouldn’t say why the building was evacuated.  A worker in the building said alarms sounded and everyone was told to leave the building. The announcement also stated it was not a drill. The worker said many people went home.”

Redstone Arsenal’s Von Braun III office building evacuated; cause still not clear (updated)

Open since October 2011, the Von Braun III office building on Redstone Arsenal houses the Army Missile Defense Agency and its contractors. (Eric Schultz |

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – One of the largest office buildings on Redstone Arsenal has been evacuated.

According to an email from Col. Jeffrey Ogden, interim chief of staff of the Army Space and Missile Defense Command, the Von Braun III building is “closed and off limits until further notice.” Ogden’s e-mail, sent at 11:52 a.m., also says people should stay back at least 50 feet from any entrance to the building.

An Army spokeswoman said she is gathering more information on the evacuation and will be sending out a news release shortly.

Von Braun III is the largest building in the arsenal’s Von Braun Complex of offices. The six-story, 840,000-square-foot structure houses the Missile Defense Agency and its contractors.

Von Braun III is designed to be “the hub of missile defense for our nation,” Lt. Gen. Patrick O’Reilly, then-MDA director, said during ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the building in October 2011. “The largest concentration of missile defense engineers anywhere in the world is in this building.”

Updated at 12:25 p.m. with additional information about Von Braun III building, quotes from former MDA Director Patrick O’Reilly.

Not Just an Idiocracy, But a Hostile Malevolent Idiocracy Spreading in the United States

Margaret Thatcher died today. She was a beloved and well respected conservative Prime Minister in Great Britain who served the country from 1979 to 1990. She steered Great Britain through one of the most troubled periods in it’s modern history, achieving what few men could in so doing during eleven years. Thatcher set a new high water mark for women in public service, no doubt inspiring women like Hillary Clinton to gather enough inner emotional momentum to eventually sprint from First Lady to New York Senator to presidential candidate, the first American woman to ever do such a thing. If Hillary was looking for mighty female role models in politics during her early years, she would have been looking right at the towering achievements of Margaret Thatcher.

I spent about twenty minutes doing “Twitter maintenance” this morning and was horrified by the outpouring of sheer idiocy and malicious disrespect going on in comments about Thatcher. I would wager a fair amount that 99% of the people making those vicious comments on the day of her death are not smart enough to spell the woman’s name.

Each time I decide that our nation cannot sink any lower on the scale of common decency and fundamental humanity, another incident like this happens which utterly disgusts the soul. If you are one of the people on Twitter today falling so absolutely low into the gutter of despicable social actions as to insult Margaret Thatcher on the day of her death, then may your own death by marked by nothing more noteworthy than a stray dog urinating on your tombstone. May no one have one single good word to say about you on the day your pathetic existence on earth ends.

Greensboro NC Health Alert: Antibiotic Resistant MRSA Found in Elementary School Student

I just found this breaking story on Twitter and it looks urgent enough to report. MRSA is an antibiotic form of staphylococcus or “staph” germ which is resistant to all known forms of antibiotic medication. An elementary school student in Greensboro North Carolina was found to be infected with the variety of “Staph” known as MRSA and was sent home from school. The school has closed for the day. Here is the report I located:

Biological Hazard in USA on Wednesday, 27 March, 2013 at 19:31 (07:31 PM) UTC.

A Southern Elementary School student was diagnosed Tuesday with a drug-resistant bacteria known as MRSA, officials said. Guilford County Schools spokeswoman Cynthia Shah-Khan confirmed a student was found to have methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus. The bacteria is resistant to multiple antibiotics including methicillin. The student’s classroom was disinfected Wednesday and a letter was sent home to parents, officials said.
Biohazard name: MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus)
Biohazard level: 3/4 Hight

Among parasites Plasmodium falciparum, which causes Malaria, and Trypanosoma cruzi, which causes trypanosomiasis, also come under this level.

Karma Comes Calling for Randi Zuckerberg, Hilarious

You knew it had to happen. Mark Zuckerberg’s sister Randi Zuckerberg, finally got stung by Facebook’s confusing and hard to manage privacy settings. A photo taken at a private family gathering of Zuckerbergs where family members were gathered in the kitchen, yucking it up about public reactions to the “poke” feature on Facebook, ended up going viral on Twitter when Randi Zuckerberg forgot how her FB privacy settings were configured, sending the photo not just to friends, but also to “friends of friends” as well. How apt.

I never really jumped on the “FB train” from the very beginning, but I did give it a test drive that proved to be revealing. Years back, in 2007 and 2008, a few years after FB took off, I joined and spent some serious time one afternoon setting my privacy protocols. The very next time I logged on, I noticed that about half of those settings had mysteriously defaulted back to “send and show everything to everyone” so I tediously reset them again. Lather rinse repeat. I logged on a month later and the settings I had reconfigured were right back to “send and show everything to everyone.” It wasn’t rocket science to figure out that something wasn’t really right about Facebook. It was creepy and I eventually closed my account. I now keep a very bare bones presence on the behemoth surveillance hub, with one general page for my store blog and that’s it.

Freedom of Speech Disappearing in the UK, US

“We are seeing a criminalization of speech that wasn’t there before,” said Kirsty Hughes, chief executive of the London-based nonprofit group Index on Censorship. “It’s seriously worrying.”

I continue to find really disturbing stories out of Great Britain about it’s citizens being jailed for posting negative comments on Facebook or other social media. It’s definitely an ominous trend. If people were jailed here in the states for the same petty offenses, almost half the nation’s youth would be sitting in jails, as Twitter and Facebook are both littered with the detritus of user’s sour comments about celebrities, other users, society at large, political figures, the media and just about every other topic.

It would appear the Brits are going to have to put up a real fight to keep their free speech. Or maybe they will get to keep posting to Facebook, as long as what they post does not offend anyone or any group.”Thought Police” patrol the UK web. When they find a comment they don’t like, they literally show up at the doorstep of the person who posted it and cart them off for a week or two in jail, behind bars. It’s not only a disturbing development, I’m not altogether sure it’s even a legal development. Great Britain is supposedly one of the world’s oldest democracies. So what is happening to democracy in Great Britain? The trend has been documented as far back as 2008. I found citizen reporting which documented suppression of free speech from October of 2008, along with several other very bothersome incidents caught on video – see below.

First, have a look at this news story:

Britain’s crackdown on Web comments sparks free-speech debate

Related video from 2008 incident in the UK:

In August of 2010 in Jonesboro Arkansas, a local resident ‘name called’ a visiting police officer a “Nazi” who had pulled a motorist nearby his house. He was videotaping the police interrogating the motorist from his garage with the door open. He was arrested by the police officer while he was still standing in his own garage on his own property, asking the officers to leave and get off his property. If you don’t believe this happened in the US, watch the video below.

Threatened with a police taser for videotaping the Walmart sign? Yep, that what happened in southwest Houston this past March 2012. Watch this off-duty police officer come unglued and nearly tase this Houston teenager for videotaping the “Walmart” sign in the store parking lot:
